Very nice, how come there are no fences?
Long lens from the stands, or accreditation?

Here at Zolder they have put in more fences, taking away all but two of the photo places for fans.
That's because they are on hills and there is a sight line just over the top of the fence.

All from the spectator areas. You can get pretty close at Road America. There are concrete Jersey barriers, you just can see them in the pics.

Ah, here the circuits sesms to be getting paranoid and debris fencing is springing up everywhere. Zolder is particularly bad for shorties, because there is a 5 foot inner mesh fence as well and I'm not tall enough to get my camera over the top and only shoot through one fence :(
I suppose I could carry a step ladder, but not for a 24 hour race !

I looked at your site, and being a McNish fan loved the shot of him in the R10.
What are you using for these ?

Indicators of the position within their class, only used on the top 3 cars obviously, but every car has them just in case :)

ALMS LEADER LIGHT SYSTEM
1. An IMSA supplied Position Indication System must be fitted permanently in each vehicle in order to allow spectators to identify the competitive class and the top three positions in each class.
2. Identification will be accomplished by a series of three light assemblies mounted on each side of each vehicle.
3. Class identification will be accomplished by the following light color scheme:
a. “LM”P1 - Red
b. “LM”P2 - Blue
c. GT1 - Green
d. GT2 – Yellow
4. A simplified system block diagram is included. (right)
5. Each team will be supplied with a complete system which will include the following components:
a. Receiver/Controller
b. Six Light Assemblies
c. Antenna
d. Electrical Connectors
6. Each team will be required to construct a wiring harness in accordance with the wiring diagram included herein, and mount the light assemblies according to the below listed specifications:
a. The light array shall be installed in a region that lies between 6 inches and two feet forward of each rear wheel well opening.
b. Lights will be mounted in a vertical pattern, oriented as shown in the drawing (right), with the centers spaced six to seven inches apart.
c. The light assemblies are designed to be mounted behind the bodywork, with the lens protruding through a single 2 inch hole.
d. It is important that the lenses are mounted flush with the bodywork, so as not to limit the visibility fore and aft of the car.
e. A two-inch diameter circle (minimum) on the bodywork around each hole pattern shall be painted semi-gloss black.
7. The Receiver/Controller may be mounted in any convenient location within the passenger compartment, but shall be mounted in such a way as to be reasonably accessible for inspection by IMSA personnel.
8. The mounting location for the Receiver/Controller should be selected to ensure that the ambient operating temperature does not exceed 50ºC (120ºF). The maximum operating temperature for the light elements is 105ºC (220ºF).
9. Although the system is moisture resistant, the Receiver/Controller should be mounted in a location that will not receive direct exposure to water under normal operating conditions.
10. The antenna shall be mounted so as not to impair RF signal reception.
11. It is recommended that harness be constructed using 22-24 gauge wire and Deutsch autoSport, or comparable series connectors.
12. Power should be wired to the master electrical switch such that the system will be powered up at all times while the car is running.
13. Total current draw will not exceed 2.5 amperes @ 12VDC.
14. When properly installed, the lights should blink in sequence each time power is applied to the system.

All of the track shots were with the 100-400, or the 70-200.
