My friends,

I'm looking into shooting night football games with the Canon 30D.

Question, for those of you shoot in the state of Michigan, are there any rules against using flash that you know of? Or does anyone know where I could find this information?

Secondly, do you ever get complaints from using flash, like "it distracts players" and or it causes problems?

Thanks a lot for that info, this would be my first time ever shoting a night game, so I know that flash will be the least of my worries...lol, I'm just trying not to get yelled at.

Thanks.

For all Michigan High School Sports info check here http://www.mhsaa.com/
As for football it shouldn't be a problem as the lighting really bites at most fields. If you don't see it in their rules just email the state commisioner for football. Don't beleive the officials as they rarely actually know the rules. I keep a rulebook with me as I have officials who didn't beleive me :)

Nope, can't help you there, every football I have shot this year it was either hotter than heck ( 138 degress on the turf) or raining  but even worse.....I need to figure out a way to get out of work on Friday nights
