Knight 08-17-2006, 01:01 AM Awsome series OT :) Is the 105 a Macro lense ? Loupey 08-17-2006, 01:20 AM Cool to see the shiny glimmer on the exoskeleton. I like #2 for its colors and non-traditional angle. Good work! Bevb 08-17-2006, 01:37 AM Another great series OT! Old Timer 08-17-2006, 04:22 AM Awsome series OT :) Is the 105 a Macro lense ? Yes it is and about my favorite in the camera bag anymore. I also added my shortest tube, don't remember the size for all these I think. Old Timer 08-17-2006, 04:27 AM Cool to see the shiny glimmer on the exoskeleton. I like #2 for its colors and non-traditional angle. Good work! Yep that shiny glimmer is kind of tuft to deal with. They were sparkling and I was trying to expose correctly so as not to blow the highlight to badly. Just trying to make up for my disaster yesterday. You did note that I went back to the 105. I just feel more comfortable with that setup. I can't seem to keep it sharp working so far away with the 200 or 300. quetzal 08-17-2006, 01:29 PM Wow those are great. Love the sharp details. payn817 08-17-2006, 01:41 PM Wonderful series! 105, 300, who cares? With results like these... noone. First one is my pick. Keep em coming Old Timer 08-17-2006, 02:25 PM Wonderful series! 105, 300, who cares? With results like these... noone. Your right about that. The results are the thing. What ever works best for you stick with it. But it's fun to try other things and see if they work for you. paulnj 08-17-2006, 05:48 PM That first image is GREAT! The dof and angle are very pleasing! Old Timer 08-17-2006, 07:05 PM That first image is GREAT! The dof and angle are very pleasing! Thanks Paul. I have one very similar to this that I did some 30+ years ago. My wife just never appreciated it and has complained about it being on the wall. Now I can replace it with a new version, I'm betting she doesn't like this one any better than the old one. |
