I've been practicing on flowers as well as birds this summer. Here's a few:

I think this is called a Magic Lily. Found some growing down by the creek a couple years ago and my mom dug them up and planted them in the yard. This is the first summer these bloomed for us and i think they're really pretty.

I also found these growing by a creek at a park. Maybe someone here can ID them? They were the only ones i saw in the whole area.

Very nice images. Good color and DOF. Number two is the standout of this group. My flowers are all in pretty bad shape right now they are forcing me to find other subjects.
