Too much distortion for me personally, but it is neat how you filled the frame and blurred everything but her.

I think if you are going to shoot someone with their arms up like this then you need to get their elbows in too. You cut her elbows off, as I did with mine.
So I decide to go with a closer crop. It works much better. You can get rid of alot of those bg distractions and you can also get a portrait crop out of it.

Also, I can tell you used a flash, so if you can soften the harsh shadow under her chin that would be great too.

Something else to remember for future pictures, bare arms look much nicer than sleeves. Unless of course it's a coat lol.

And I'm always being told off for hair covering the eyes. I think sometimes it works though.

Other than that...gorgeous clarity and colours.

what do you mean by distortion? are you talking about distortion from wideangle lense,
or something else ?

I like this portrait, good use of depth of field and the subject is very clear.

Chris -- Yes, there appears to be some wide angle distortion here. The arms ont the side are 'wider' than they should (I think) and her head is a little narrower than maybe normal. Typical WA distortion.....
