I made friends with his fan club manager over the Internet, and we met up at Goodwood briefly before she rushed off to lunch with the Toyota team.
I shared my photos with her, and she's given me my own page on the website.

it's got better - the thumbnails are now proportional and not squished, and I rather like the new layout of the cars around the portrait shots.

Wow, that's quick !
Trudie popped up on MSN to say people have visited from here.
And she read my message on the forum :blush2:

That's very cool, Paul. Hope that helps move things forward for you. Do you have your own Web site? If not, you should ask her to include a link to your gallery on this site, so people visiting that page can see more of your photos.
The photos on that page are a bit hot in the highlights. Did you set them up or just hand over the files? If it were me, I'd redo them so that they look perfect. You never know who's looking and you always want everyone to see you at your best.

First, I need to get this monitor calibrated.
Spend a few hundred on the tools to do the job.
Then as you say rework the images.
They are straight out of Canon DPP, and then resized in Thumbs Plus.
No adjustments, just USM and crop.
Trudie does the thumbnails and resize. But I may send her optimised replacements when I get time (from the day job) to perfect them.

Monitor calibration systems have come way down in price in the past couple of years. And they're absolutely worth the money. No more worrying about whether things look right - you'll just know they do.
