Just trying a Close up filter 1T i think they call it , dont realy like using them . Theres just to much loss with extra glass , but i had to try :D

The center area looks plenty sharp. But you're right, the edges (as typical with most close up lenses) are funky. Still there are times when you can use this to your advantage. This is one of them.

Hey I don't see a thing wrong with this image. I used CU filters for years and still have a set of 52mm that I sometimes use on the 105mm. As long as you know their limitations and frame right you can crop what you want and keep it nice and sharp. I'f sure be proud of this hopper if it were mine.

As you said with any extra glass, inc TC's etc, there is loss, but you have proven when used right you get excellent results like your grasshopper. :thumbsup:

I guess a person can get good results with closup lenses but i found them realy hard to work with , i hope tubes are not the same when i get a set . This was mostly to get Paulnj to look in here for a American Bird of some kind hehe. This guy`s name is American Bird Grasshopper :)

Well... I haven't had a J O B since march 26 so I can surf whenever I want :D I am quite broke and every job I apply for doesn't want me. Back to Treework part time I go at 6am monday...wish me luck in getting to bed before 3am :wink:

PS: Dont take any chances around Power lines , if something does not look right it`s probably because it`s not so call the local Utility sometimes they can be very helpfull.

NAHHHH , You haven't seen the animals I used to work with. They are the hardest working tree guys in the state! Every company does a jaw drop when the see Action tree attact a job! I did treework for 17 years, so I remember using a cheap saw(have the scars to remember by) , "duck and chuck" chippers(broke many a rib) and loading logs into a truck by hand(back reminds me daily). Now is the age of 90' bucket trucks, 500hp logtrucks and dual axle 18" chippers with a winch on it. You still work like a mule, but you use the tools at hand. WORK SMART is my theory!

As for powerlines... I've gotten many a service drop and even did one myself when the guy never came :wink: I have never had a powerline get ripped out, but I have pulled the phone line down once, but it was an ancient 2 pair and it snapped inhalf (from 1960 I bet) :lol:

I have been doing tree work on the side for a few months here and there with my brother to keep my lights on .... $50 an hour isn't so bad :D
