I don't know one dragon fly from the next, but there are a bunch of these along one of the trails I take just about everyday.

Ahh, up until now I just thought that a damselfly was a female dragonfly!! I just looked them up I see they are completley different species all together. I'm learning more and more about the great out of doors everyday!! Thanks for the lesson Paul.

I notice the secondary shadow. Did you use your 580 flash? On or off camera? Cable or wireless? Curious to know as I have not tried to use flash before with macros and I would like to know the different setups that people use. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Loupey, for this shot, I used the built in flash on the DRebel. No fancy lighting setups here, but something I would like to learn more about.
