Taken at the 2006 Wings Over Gillespie airshow at Gillespie Field, El Cajon, CA. Cool shot, great exposure. But I think a wider angle lens would have shown the size of that thing better. I saw one of those at the Cherry Point Sounds Of Freedom Airshow a couple of years ago. It is a BIG biplane! It amzed me that it was a single engine. And it takes off, and can cruise, at a ridiculously low speed as well. Coastal Flyer 06-29-2006, 11:16 AM Thanks, Speed, for the comment. I shot many, many perspectives of this plane to try and capture the amazing wing span and the spars of the biplane but nothing came out as well as this shot. I wanted to depict the incredible size and unfortunately this perspective leaves the viewer to imagine wing span. Thanks for the comments though, I appreciate it. And you are correct, the slow flight configuration is just incredible and fun to see. CF |
