Where was I? No one got it, although people did start getting the idea when I posted the gelato photo. British Columbia and Newfoundland were a good guesses, since I do love the Great White North, and Garda is surrounded by glacial mountains. But as the following photos will show, Canada was pretty far off :p

Here's a link to the original thread, with more photos: http://forums.photographyreview.com/showthread.php?t=22110

And here are a few more photos:

So is this where Marzocchi did their product roll out event at this year?
Is this the same place where they have that really cool MTB Fest?

I was way off, but I have to comment on you photos. These are great! The colors in the first one are very nice, and that last one! Wow! What an awesome view to have on your ride! I've ridden in Colorado, but that was nothing compared to this. Too bad he can't take his eyes off the trail in front of him. :)

There isn't actually a trail there

He's just riding on a scree slope. We set this up just for the photo. Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do to get the photo.

Colorado is good, too. It's all good. It's just different.

The wisest words ever uttered on this board.

Beautiful shots PJ. Whatever happened to taking me with as your assistant? ;)

I did say France for the Bike Race so I was pretty close with the first guess. Hope you are/did enjoy Italy.

So jealous... I'm going to Italy in March for 16 days, I can hardly wait! I hope 5 gigs will get me through it... I'm starting to think not.

John, that middle image is pretty cool. I like how they are all decked out for war with a steep downhill, yet are in a quite street setting.

Beautiful photographs. I was pretty close after the gelato photo. I said northern Italy just didn't know the cities very well. I few over the region going to Venice a few years ago. Beautiful country as we can see from your images.

We came off a trail right into this little town - hence the downhill protective gear. For someone from North America, this is magic. It's so exotic. We had to take pictures. The two riders are French. So they probably didn't think it was quite as big a deal as we Americans. But they're pros and willing to do whatever the photographers want.

I flew into Verona and then took a 45 minute shuttle to Riva del Garda, on the very north end of the lake. I think I was about 3+ hours from Venice and one hour from Austria. Gelato and espresso every day!

John wasn't the only one in Garda. I got to go too and even got to room with PJ at the wonderful four star resort that we stayed at. Here's a selection from my Lago del Garda series...

Totally different from John's but just as impressive. Nice job, must have been a real tough assignment.

You got to love that gelato. One of the most memorable things about my stay in Italy.

I love mountains, water and boats! Viewing all of these photos makes me want to go on vacation. I was never in Garda, but did get to Rome and a few surrounding towns a few times. I loved every minute of it. There is nothing like mountains and water to refresh the soul!

I'm glad you found a few minutes in your busy business schedule to have a bit of fun. :D

Thanks for sharing all the fun......beautiful photos, gorgeous scenery.
