Rare and unusual. This is Enrique', an infant (about 3 weeks here) Saki monkey. He is rare as this is one of a handful bottle fed almost from birth. The mother died hours after birthing due to a rampant infection.
Hand raising these isn't supposed to be successful. This was acheived without even a primate nursery, etc. The staff took special care and provided around the clock attention. At last check he was thriving having quadrupled his body weight since birth (around 4-5 weeks).
The second photo is to give some idea of scale of the little guy. Journal articles are in the works. I'll update this and or post more later as he matures.
