I witnessed what I thought was peculiar this evening. I watched a juvenile male red-winged blackbird flying around for about 15 minutes with a catepillar stuck in his mouth. Perhaps it was too full? I saw it flying from bush to tree to weeds and back as it was being harassed by its (parents?) - all the while having this catepillar in its mouth.

Don't know if this is common RWB behaviour. Anyway, caught some of the action on camera.
