A Nikon N80 with a Quantaray (made by Sigma) 70-300mm f4-5.6 lens. A modest camera with a modest lens, shooting Superia Xtra 400.

The bird was on a rail about seven feet from me. I got a steady stance, and shot.

HOW EXOTIC!!!!! :D that WAS somebody's pet at one time...... that color DOESN'T COME NATURAL, AND IT'S A RECESSIVE COLOR TRAIT TOO ;)

BUT HEY YOU NEED TO START SOMEWHERE :)
