View Full Version : I Have Been Awarded A Scholarship To Attend...
mtbbrian 05-02-2006, 06:16 AM It has been a dream of mine to attend the Maine Photographic Workshops (http://www.theworkshops.com), for as long as I can remember, but as you probably know they are pretty expensive, costing about $850 for tutuion alone.
They do offer scholarships though.
This past couple of years, they have had a scholarship for "Military Veterans" for Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
Well guess what?
I have been awarded this scholarship!!
Brian

Underwater Holga case = Ziploc bag
Photo-John 05-02-2006, 09:37 AM Congratulations, Brian. Tell us more about what you'll do at the workshop. Will it be focused on just the Holga or will you be taking more than one course? And most important - will you be taking a bike to Maine :)

LOL John! No bike, this is all about the camera.
The scholarship is for one workshop, I have selected a workshop they call, In Search of the Personal (http://www.theworkshops.com/catalog/courses/index.asp?CourseID=2330&SchoolID=20). It is not specific to a Holga or anything like that, I think this one will suit me best.
It won't be until July-August. Look for a complete write up after that.
Thanks eveyone!
Brian

Very good news.
As a note $850 for tutuion is not that costly. Where I work the tutuion is $150 a credit hour! And that is on the cheap side nowdays!
