Great bokeh and the shadow on the face really make this one imo. Great work. Rick Old Timer 04-30-2006, 12:35 PM Great eye. Inspirational for anyone that laments that there is just nothing for me to photograph. You just have to have the eye to see the image. Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful. dbutler 04-30-2006, 12:56 PM I agree! Wonderful capture. dbutler 04-30-2006, 12:57 PM And OT, are you taking a dig at me? :) Invitation to NC is rescinded! another view 04-30-2006, 01:04 PM That shot just has "Sebastian" written all over it... Great! Old Timer 04-30-2006, 02:52 PM And OT, are you taking a dig at me? :) Invitation to NC is rescinded! Oh D.!!! Don't be mean. I know your husband has a lot to teach a willing student. Sebastian 04-30-2006, 07:37 PM Rick, Thanks again! I just replied to you in the critique forum. Can't get away. Might be time for a restraining order. ;) I think I agree with you, the lack of a face is what draws me to the scene, there are enough other cues to say at least a little bit about the woman. OT, Thank you, thank you, thank you. And leave D alone, we all burn out once in a while. ;) Dbutler, Thanks! AV, No, it only says it in the lower right, and I made it grey to get you to notice it less. Guess you won't be happy till it's gone huh? Well, that ain't happening. Deal with it. Diesel boy. another view 05-01-2006, 08:31 AM No, it only says it in the lower right, and I made it grey to get you to notice it less. Guess you won't be happy till it's gone huh? Well, that ain't happening. Deal with it. Diesel boy. Yeah, that or I was saying something about your style; possibly a compliment? :) Oh, that's 48mpg Diesel boy, just to be clear. :D Sebastian 05-01-2006, 08:37 AM Right right riiight... :) Only 48? Do you need to tune it up? I used to get that in the city, and I would hammer it. If I was gentle I was averaging low 50s, and I broke 60 on both trips to Florida. I wish I could stick that kind of engine in the Jeep. Trevor Ash 05-01-2006, 10:15 AM I like it. she seems lonely and unhapy. the people in the back are also adding to the shot. Almsot looks like one is smiling, perhaps laughing. makes you wonder what the lady is doing all by her lonesome. I'm sure the scene was a little different than that, but that's what it feels like you've captured. nice job adina 05-01-2006, 10:29 AM Very nice. My favorite portraits are the ones where you can't really see the face. adina Sebastian 05-01-2006, 10:55 AM Trevor, The scene was very different. :) Adina, Thank you! Liz 05-01-2006, 10:57 AM Sebastian this is awesome! I love it. Liz http://www.cmcpics.com/blogimages/redhat.jpg Sebastian 05-01-2006, 11:34 AM Thanks Liz. :D Knight 05-01-2006, 12:33 PM I could not be any better than this .Its perfect :) Speed 05-01-2006, 01:39 PM Well done. As usual. I like the simplicity of it. It has an elegant feel to it. And I love the bright red! Speed 05-01-2006, 01:42 PM Diesel boy?! What did I miss???? So what vehicle are we talking about? 48 mpg is the worst mileage I've gotten from my Suzuki. 56 mpg was the best. And it's a gas engine! Sebastian 05-01-2006, 02:54 PM Thanks Speed. As for the diesel, I doubt your Suzuki is a 3500 pound 4-door. :) another view 05-01-2006, 03:23 PM Diesel boy?! What did I miss???? So what vehicle are we talking about? 48 mpg is the worst mileage I've gotten from my Suzuki. 56 mpg was the best. And it's a gas engine! Not to hijack the thread, but since you asked... My '03 VW Jetta TDI... Sebastian used to have one but apparently missed his friends at the gas stations too much, so he had to get a Jeep. ;) Sebastian 05-02-2006, 08:12 PM Ok, time to fill in the backstory here. She was praying intently during group prayer at her baptist church in Aurora. I do a lot of church assignments. Apparently I'm the only one stupid enough to get up for a 7am service. Then again, it might just be that I find churches to be filled to the brim with visual stimulation and can't say no. |
