are they interchangable - they are shaped identically, they have the connectors identically in the same spot, and have the same voltage. is there anything about them that makes them proprietary? can enel3 be the np400? can enel1 be the np800?

Interesting question Anbesol...I'd be interested in knowing. I think my Nikon uses the enel7...why can't these people just use a standard battery. I get great battery life with my pentax and 4 2500ma batteries.

well, i partially know the answer - enel3 is shaped the exact same as the np400, and the enel1 is shaped the same as the np800 - they both work interchangably. however, all ive known tested was a few shots - my question is would it be allright to use for extended periods of times?
