A couple of dogwoods caught my eye on the why to a baseball game this afternoon and I ended up being an inning and a half late for the game. Tell me if it was worth it.

It's always worth taking the time for pictures :-) Old Timer 04-27-2006, 06:26 AM Thanks Leon and Emily. I guess with Spring finally here I'll be up to old tricks with flowers and bugs. I do love getting up close and personal with nature's little creatures and creations. OldSchool 04-27-2006, 06:30 AM Great shots OT... colors and all. I think I'll be expecting to find a bee somewhere in all your future series now. Cheers, Tim drg 04-27-2006, 07:12 AM Definitley worth the stop! The bee is a little dark (may be this monitor) or just some shadow. I really like the focus on the element of just the blooms in the second photo and the two colors and the shape the produce in the third. Isn't Spring great for just making fun photos? Chunk 04-27-2006, 07:15 AM Thought that said Dagwood. I was expecting to see a foot high sandwich. :D Beautiful shots Larry. Your town must be fabulous this time of year. walterick 04-27-2006, 07:38 AM Larry, your shots make me think of home. The Dogwood bloom is the Virginia sate flower. Definitely worth being late to work for these! :D Old Timer 04-27-2006, 02:07 PM Thanks guy I appreciate that you found my images pleasing. I've always loved dogwood but never gotten what I thought was a good representation before. Yesterday things just seemed to click and the conditions were right. And Chunk you got me thinking about that dagwood thing might be a great picture idea there. If I could get you back down here maybe we can split one. |
