Okay, this one's pretty different from the other two, but I actually personally think it's my fave of the three. :D Of course, you all may think that's just crazy talk...hehe.

Wow! What a unique and beautiful image!

Emily I haven't seen your other 2, but this is striking. There is magic floating with those seeds!

Is there any way to sharpen the blowing seeds more? The sharper they are compared to the properly blurred girl the more striking the image will become imo. Not that it is not already striking enough :) Oh, and there's a little bit of dust or something in the lower part of the frame you need to clone out before hanging this one ;)

I agree that this may be the best of the 3 with the seeds parachuting quietly, but the wild flurry of seeds in the second shot is also very compelling. The narrative is great.

Her nickname has to be "Joannie Dandelionseed".

Emily,

That is just a great shot. The only thing that could be improved is to get tack-sharp focus on the floating seed. But, that would sure be tough to do. It's the shallow DOF with the blurred face that just makes this image just great. Maybe sharpness could be added PP.

Just awesome...

Wow, I like it a lot, only wish the flying seeds could be a bit sharper. Very creative.

Thanks Walterick, Chunk, Tim & Jim!!! I agree about sharpening or trying to sharpen up the floating seeds a bit. I used my basic editing stuff on this last night, but I'll see if I can do more in photoshop with that. :D

Chunk, I'm going to start calling her that...hehe!

Thanks again, all...

Hi Emily!

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus on this one. I'm going to dig a little deeper and find the other two images that you posted for comparison. What a beautiful idea! I know we have certainly had enough of these things around lately. I'm sure your little girls won't mind blowing off another 100 dandelion heads or so for you so you can get a floating seed that's "tack" sharp! :p Going to have to take Harmony out and try this out myself this afternoon.

Cheers girl! Love it! Love it! Love it!

You know Emily, I was thinking, if you popped a little fill into the seeds it would help "freeze" them and would make them look a little sharper. But of course, popping a fill flash adds another world of problems too :)

Thanks CLK! Harmony will LOVE practicing this for ya...I'm sure. :D

Walterick...thanks for the suggestion...I might give that a whirl. I get on these kicks and experiment as much as I can until I get it just the way I want it! :D
