First Blue Dasher, Pachydiplax longipennis, of the year! This is one of my all time favorite D-Flies to shoot. They are absolutely beautiful, and they pose for you! Not many beautiful animals will sit absolutly still for a series of pictures.

Ya know, I have been known to shoot a few dragonflies and other insects too ;) So what gear was this pal, I can't get that shallow DOF unless I put the 500D on my lens ;)

Its just my D60 and 70-300.

Almo this is a beautiful shot, DOF is great and i cant help but to notice it looks like it has a smile on its face!:D

They always smile for a Almo . Not insects here yet ,they dont take kindly to the cold weather . Good Capture Almo :)

Ok then, i read that wrong, but I was just saying i liked it anyway. I had to look up the 500D. I don't have anything like that, just my ∑ M.

Dude, the 500D on my 100-400IS is insane! I can focus at like 1 foot!
