So I get a call in my car today, and I'm thinkin "crap, I bet this is the photo editor who wants the shots from the lacrosse game this weekend that I don't have." So I looked at it, and it was an unknown number. I pick it up, and it's the yearbook advisor of my old high school. I had done some photo work for them over the winter and had given them some photos from the spring season the year before, and had been paid decent enough, as it was more of a favor and to get my name out there. So we're talking, and he asks if I got his e-mail. I told him no, and he told me what it was about. He had sent me an e-mail telling me that he wanted to give me a free ad in the yearbook in case anyone wanted to order the photos or in case any companies wanted to contact me about jobs. He also said that my shots were incredible. THe yearbook usually has a pro company take photos, and he said my photos far surpassed the quality of theirs, and that mine were amazing. He said he saturated the sports section of the yearbook w/ my photos. He also said next year, when I contact the yearbook about doing photos, make sure the current advisor contacts him. He said I didn't get paid nearly enough for my work, and that my photos were worth so much more. so my ad that I made is below, and I'm psyched for already having a deal worked out for next year. And I had been having a crappy day too, so that made it all the better. Now if photoreflect would work, I would be ecstatic.
