Shot some soccer action today and wanted to post a few shots that I like a lot.

Nice job. Good action and good saturated colors. Love some of the expressions you caught also. The only nit here is you could be a tad tighter on a couple of the shots. Overall I really like what you have captured.

To be honest about the crop. When I crop a picture I crop it in a way so a parent get get a good 8X10 or 5X7 shot without losing any action. So this results in leaving some additional room around the picture.

I know what you are saying here. When I upload to printroom for image I have for sale i do the same thing. since I started shooting digital I have started to shoot a little looser just for this reason and to allow for the different print formates. Whe I pos to PR or some other on line forum I generally will do another crop.

As OT said, good job.....so I take it the problem was multi point AF ?
These look a bit better background wise too.

On the Minolta 7D it's the spot meter and I did take your advice and changed it. I'll need to shoot a baseball game to really see the difference.
