I just want to take good hockey pictures of my kids hockey team and post them on a web site. I am looking at the Canon Reble Xt 8.0 MP for 699.00 at costco. I know I will need a different lens than the one that comes with it 18-55mm lens. Can anyone tell me what lens I should buy. I am an amatuer and just want fun good pictures. Thanks for any help, I am ready to buy.

70-200mm f2.8 - the best all round sports lens. The Canon Lens is around $1000-1200 without IS and $1800 with. Or go with the Sigma at $650

I dont know much about the Sigma but you have to believe as JS mention the 70-200 f/2.8I got one of those without IS and it good. wish I had IS for my low light shooting though, but then it cost an extra six hundred dolla.

I shoot strickly sports action and the lens I use 99% of the time is the 70-200 f2.8 APO (Minolta). If your going to do sports action then make the investment and the the 70-200 2.8 (IS). It will be worth it in the long run.
