I think I'm going with the DL (not 100% sure will handle cameras tomorrow if best buy has them in stock).

Here's what I am proposing, and I need to know if the lens' I am considering will work (I understand there is no aperture ring on lenses) and if they will work, are there any limitations with this lens combo?

If you can afford it, get the 16-45 for wide and look for an old 45-125 if you can find one (they're rare, you need to comb the used market).

An old 80-200 might help too. Save for the 77mm prime, it's the most incredible lens I've seen!

But the lenses you chose will work very well with the new Pentax digitals.
