Great shots and a good macro-like shots. I prefer the second one, just as the subject remains in the whole shot though you still have the selective focussing. Colors are nice and crisp and the whole shot seems sharp.

I prefer the second one.
You've got buds in focus there, sharply focussed with the thorns around them.
I like that juxtaposition of the two, and it's an element missing from the top image.
