Mamiya 6MF+50mm

This is a fun moment you caught. Great tones and great DOF. I don't know if I would really call it a "portrait" since the subjects don't seem to be interacting with the photographer, however I do think it is a very nice picture. There is an honest, candid feel to it, and I'm definitely drawn to it. Great job!

Wouldn't this be classed as street photography, whatever it is its an excellent capture. I like the expressions on their faces and the tonal quality of the picture really make the children stand out.

Composition with the boy with the ball is inspirational.

Interesting expressions. A very nice job on the capture.

However, there is something that bothers me a little about this. How much post processing did you do? It looks like there are PP halo's around your subjects -- especially their faces. In fact, the boy's faces seems to pop a little too much. If you did do some PP here, you might try and blend it in a bit more.

However if you didn't do much PP, then please withdraw this comment. I'm on the road working from an LCD screen (laptop). It doesn't do a good job rendering images (and thus maybe I shouldn't critique).

I'm seeing that too... not just your LCD. It didn't distract me as much, however, since it's so confined.

I love the composition and the expression on their faces. Classic, I thought it was your wok before I even noticed who posted it :D

I also noticed right away that there seemed to be an "overly digital" quality to this shot, especially contrasted to your other work.

I like the tones and the moment is good. I too notice a "digital processed" quality about this. It almost looks to me as if the two boys were cut and pasted into another picture. However, I think it has a "wierd in a good way" type of quality to it
