I like the 2nd image. If I could suggest, a slightly tighter crop to lose the bottom left corner. Then I think the viewer loses the sense of scale and makes this image even more intriguing.

I really like the second image, and i definately lose my sense of scale which is neat. The first image seems like it lacks a main focal point, i feel my eyes trying to figure out the main subject, but that might just be me. Nice work though.

I wouldn't mind seeing a little closer focusing on the second one, but the weirdness (is that the word I'm looking for?) of the subject makes up for it. Great feel, and that first one has a very strong subject. A tad grainy in the first one, but it may be the jpeg.

Well it's a crop < 30%, but I did not check the ISO setting, it was set at 1250, the only good thing the shutter speed was very fast as both where taken with a telephoto macro lense, both happened to zoom all the way to 300mm.

You are the second one how has asked, Photo 1, is fungus among us (mushrooms) growing on the top of a rotten fence post. Photo 2, is moss on the top of a 2nd fence post. I have series of photos for three different fence posts.

A side note this summer I will have to redue this fence, and it's not my fence but it helps with the board for my daughter's horses.
