Hi All!

I recently acquired this zoom lens. I have not been able to find any review of this. The lens itself is made in Japan and seems to be of very good construction. I have seen very good reviews for the Vivitar Series 1 zoom lenses. Does anyone have any idea how this performs versus the series 1?

Not sure on this one. I think I used to have that Series 1 years ago, and it wasn't bad at the time. Most current zooms will probably be better optically; a benefit of computer aided design. No reason you can't use it though.

Since you're posting this in the Nikon Digital section of the site, just realize that many newer Nikon cameras won't meter with a manual focus lens.
