Having had an OM2 for 25 years, I'm considering splashing out on the Nikon D50.
Two points please:-
Anything I should take into account in making my purchase - to be used for landscape and outside work (hobby).
How compatible is the D50 to Tamron lenses. I have a 28mm and an 80 - 210mm.
Thanks for any advice.

Hey Paul,
Practically any lens made for Nikon camera's, whether Nikon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, etc, should work fine on the D50 and the D70.
The exceptions are generally older lenses or certain specialty lenses. But virtually all the lenses made today should work just fine.

Thanks for your reply Speed.
Maybe I should have stated that the Tamron lenses I have were bought in 1979. I assume that they are not too old for connection the D50.
Thanks,
Paul

They have to be autofocus and in the Nikon mount to work. An adaptall lens with a Nikon mount will not work.
