Love the 2nd one...really great photo, and the colors are beautiful.

The second image stands out for its colorful depiction of the scene. Often we see these in b/w or sepia (I've shot more than a few myself) and depend only on the shape and line to share the scene. The colors add a lot to the enjoyment of, and highlight the detailed sky. The field with the voids in the crop also are unusual and the 'imperfection' of that adds a different element.

I'm with Emily. Great job composing that shot!! The sense of isolation is pretty complete. And I really like the colors and how the ground kind of mimics the sky. My second favorite is the last shot. I think that seeing it in color, and getting to visualize the textures, that you can't go back to the B&W (well, I can't go back!). I would have liked the B&W OK (though it is lacking a bit in range) but those color shots blew it away IMO.

I like the second one and the first one a lot. I think the color works best when there's a lot of the green and blue to show. The close up looks more dark and dreary, which I like better in B&W. But the middle one is great as it is! Just opinion of course.

I have to agree with the others that the second shot is the strongest here. While you don't get the detail of the closer shots, the depth of the great sky and good environment make up for it.

The b/w seems flat and dull to me. How did you do the conversion? Take a look at just the red channel of the color pics. I think that makes a great b/w conversion for these scenes. The second is especially good that way after a slight 'S' shaped curves adjustment.
