a million shots of one person? Every single time I shoot a bball game, all my good shots are of one girl. She's a great girl, and an amazing player, and the camera obviously loves her, as almost every shot of her is in focus, while all the others are either OOF or ball or arm in front of their face. Weirdest thing. Today, since I only shot one half and was kind of in and out of it, talking to the other local photographer ( and because I hate my camera, but everyone already knew that), I probably had about 6 "good" shots. and she was in? that's right, 5 out of the 6. Here's just a few.

gotta love those eyes. I'm wondering if there's a way to fix them to be normal in PS

and last but not least, my favorite bball photo i've taken so far. So crisp, better in color than the rest of the shots (that's not saying much) and captures the essence of her gameplay perfectly..

I know the feeling. Once you get your 1D, I'm sure things will improve for you.

I think it is that way with most sports, although I can't say that I've had bad luck on getting images of other players to turn out. Usually, one solid player will have the ball most of the time, and if you're following the ball, you'll end up with images of that person.

YES!!!!!!! Love your shots Livin!

As you know I've only shot two sports. Football & baseball, but with football there is one boy I have so many wonderful shots of. He's amazing and boy does the camera pick it up. He's a wonderful boy too. He really won my heart this football season.

Most basketball teams have 1-3 good players, so the others get left out, not our fault they all don't have the same talent level, but if they did sports would be very boring. The only sports you really shouldn't get a lot of repeat photos are hockey, volleyball and so on. Yet, even with one volleyball team I it seemed like there was only one girl who I could get really good action from. Next year she's headed to one of the top ten college volleyball teams in the country. The paper ran one of my shots of her at least 20 times (too bad they don't pay each time).
There are ways to get other players though, sometimes you have to move around. I normally get at least two shots of eavh player who plays as it never fails when the paper gets around to all county selections they need at least a headshot of the selected players and an action shot of the top selection. They always come to me as they know I have everyone.
