I thought i would introduce myself, im 17 and from central ohio and i have just recently picked up photography as a hobby, so i am very new to this. For xmas i received my first "good" (or atleast decent) digital camara. i received a Minolta Dimage 7. I dont know a lot about photography besides that it makes it possible for me to be somewhat artistic since i cant draw or paint. I got the opertunity to take my camara out the other day in the fog and came up with a couple good photo's and would like any advice you guys have to offer. Thanks :)

I hope you find this to be a warm and encouraging group. there are lots of younger photographers on this sitesome very accomplished for their years. check out the different boards and find the ones that will be the most helpful to you. the best way to get help is to rread a lot of post and see what members are saying about the different phot subjects and images that are posted. If you have specific photos you want feed back on post on the critique forum and you will get ideas on improvement. Hope you enjoy your time here at PR and grads on the new camera. I got my daughter one for Christmas too, she is having a ball with it.
