This is one of many tornadoes we witnessed on November 27th. Very unusual weather and I'm honored to have my pictures on Jon Davies website which he did a case study on cold-core lows.

Interesting subject.
Is it always that brown where you live?

Scary stuff IMO. I love the picture though, a nice strong warm and cozy foreground albeit a tornado in the back.
Well done.

Very interesting. I've tried chasing tornadoes, but I've never seen one. NIce catch.
Honestly, I can't get over the fact that, to myself, it looks fake. I am not saying it is of course. Just the way it looks to me. Really I have been viewing to much PS stuff lately...:p
Nice capture.

I almost got caught by a tornado heading home from the 2004 Indy 500 as it crossed I-70 on the East side of Indianapolis. It took high tension power lines down right behind me. That was a bit too close!

Fake? LMAO, I'm a STORM CHASER, I don't fake photos, I enhanced the contrast and that's it. Shot with my Digital Rebel XT. I gave you the links, now perhaps you'd like video of them. (Although this one didn't make CBS national news, or CNN international. That's me on the right!
Once again Mr. Davies website. http://members.cox.net/jondavies4/112705cks/112705cks.htm
Our website: www.stormchasers.org/forum (Click on chase logs) and now for the video.

I assure you that Almo was not saying the image was fake, only that it looks like a very peaceful image , but for the tornado.
Having seen a few tornados in my youth(and even a NJ tornado a few year back that flattened 100 foot trees right infront of me, then disappeared as fast as it appeared), I know your images are real!
You get a sticky thread! Your images and subject matter are GREAT!

A tornado in New Jersey?!?!?! Pretty rare stuff there. If you want to see a great photographer (I'm a noob) This guy (Mike Hollingshead) is AMAZING and even has his photos used without permission on CBS' movie Category 7, as well as those forwards you got of hurricane Katrina. LOL. www.extremeinstability.com A MUST SEE for all Photographers.
