How much did you crop it, GB? Have to agree that it retains it's sharpness as far as you can see through the background. Excellent shot and quite interesting one also with the young girl standing in between the kayaks. :D

I think I cropped it about 50%. I'll have to go out there again one day with a small boat and cruise around... maybe all the way down to Mexico, which is about 30-40 miles away (well, maybe a power boat would be better for that).

Btw, on the weekends, they basically stop the water from going through the dam upstream cause power usage is low. That's why it's so calm looking.

I really like this shot GB for all the reasons mentioned above plus I love the placement of the figures although I wish they were a bit higher. As another poster adviced me in another thread (don't remember which one) I think this would've been even better if you got down and shot it from a lower angle and hence raising them a tiny bit more in the water. That's just a little nit pick though. Good job.
