Why is it whenever I come here I get redirected to my profile page? I just come to PCPhotoreview.com, click on forums and once the forum page loads, it waits about 2 seconds then redirects me to my profile page. Pretty annoying if you ask me.

Bikeforums.net does the same thing (Forum S/W?), but MTBR doesn't.

In the meantime, have you tried logging out, deleting cookies and temporary internet files, then logging back in?
Another thing to try is using this url http://www.photographyreview.com instead of pcphotoreview. It will bring you to the same page.

You have the same internet service provider I use. Are you using Internet Explorer as your browser? With this combination, I am not running into your specific issue.

Lara - I spoke too soon. MTBR did the same thing to me tonight. It takes you to the profile page and requires you to fill in something in the first and last name blocks, then it's happy. Once you save that, it doesn't seem to do that anymore.

I'm running XP Home, IE 6.0/SP2 128 bit throught Comcast. Maybe it's the forums host's requirement?

It's asking for your user name and password? That's correct, and if you don't check the box to save your password, it will ask for it each time you visit the site. This keeps you logged in.

It's when I initially click on the discussions link. It brings up the forums front page, then after about 2 seconds, takes you to the profile edit page. I've entered my first/last name and saved it, so now it doesn't redirect me there.

So, it's not the login, just the profile once you're already logged in.

That's a new one on me Joel! I haven't heard of this issue from anyone else. The only thing I can think of is that your registration wasn't complete, so you were directed to your profile page. (Or completion of registration has changed.) But honesly, I've never come across this before.
