I think this is a newly emerged moth but I don't know whot kind. It's feelers were still tucked back below the leading edge of the wings. It was clinging on the side of a gas station in Georgia a couple weeks ago.

MAYBE Almo, can ID it, because I surely can't without alot of resaearch. almo 10-29-2005, 03:08 AM Tersa Sphinx, Xylophanes tersa The "Feelers" as you put it are commonly tucked down in this species. They are a nocturnal moth and therefore do not typically keep them errect during daylight hours. Also the one you have here is typical of a fully formed adult. It is far from newly emerged. Thanks for sharing! paulnj 10-29-2005, 06:23 AM THANX Almo! I am not a bug chaser yet, though I have been know to photograph a few here and there ;) almo 10-29-2005, 07:29 AM No problem brody ;) Chunk 10-29-2005, 11:13 AM Thanks Almo.
