But the more I look, the more I accept it as it is and find the harsh contrasting tones a treat for the eyes. The framing is great. I might prefer a bit less contrast, but that is only personal preference and not critique. It is a fine image Overbeyond 09-22-2005, 11:49 PM Hello Tuna Have we seen this one in colour in the past? Maybe not. You have placed the door nicely off center and it looks very stately and noble. The contrast brings out the flint wall very well and also the textures in the stonework either side of the arch. Maybe a little less contrast in the door only (especially at the top just to seperate it a little more from the blackened arch) but this coulld easily be a monitor setting thing. The best photographs to me are the simple ones (often the hardest to get) and this one is a success. Tom |
