I think that your composition is excellent but this picture do is too dark for me. It is lacking dynamic range.

I think I would do something more like this. You still get light and shadow, but more of a discernible portrait.

P.S. I've noticed that I've photoshopped a few of your photos from time ot time to show you what I think, rather than tell you. I hope you don't mind. If so let me know and I won't do it again.
