I just noticed this on my photos that I took tonight when I was editing them at 100 percent. What is this thing? dead pixel on the sensor? THese pictures were taken with different lenses, so I know it's not anything on the lens.

In the first and second shots, they're hot pixels. You could send it in to be fixed, but I think they just program the camera to ignore those pixels on the sensor. I also see one in the guy's hair. Both of my cameras have them occasionally (typically high ISO and/or long shutter speed) and I just clone them out in Photoshop.

The dark thing on the bricks looks like sensor dust, as long as you're using a DSLR. If you're not using a DSLR, dust won't be a problem because it happens when you change lenses. Check the recent thread below about dust.

ah ok. THanks for the response. The one on the bricks actually looks very similar to the others when it is blown up, and it's in the same spot as the hot pixel in the other photos... so I'm assuming it's the same thing. I guess I will just clone it out. Thanks.

You're right. I guess I didn't click on the brick shot to open it up, but there's one in there. I was looking at the dark spot at the upper right, but it may be on the brick itself.
