Lionheart 07-02-2005, 07:34 PM Happy 4th of July to all.
natatbeach 07-02-2005, 08:24 PM beautiful shot wow...
natatbeach 07-02-2005, 08:25 PM great minds think alike....cool
Lionheart 07-02-2005, 09:54 PM This is a bit of a rehash of old photos reconstituted for this year's celebration of freedom.
I can be terribly un-original at times.
Lionheart 07-02-2005, 09:59 PM Great shot! Sometimes I miss living in the big city. We don't see things like this in the rural foothills of Northern Kalifornya.
payn817 07-03-2005, 03:55 AM yet another one.
Lionheart, did you write that verse?

I wish I had. It's a quote from President Kennedy's inaugural address in '61.

You might want to give proper credit for it in your artwork, then. :)
That would not only make it legal to use, you would also be performing a service for your viewers.

Sorry. It's an older work I did right after 9/11, and I forgot to put in the JFK back then. Here's a repost after much careful editing (I lost the original psd file, so I don't have control over the text layer)
It's a stunning piece of work! Hope you have it hanging on your wall!
mjs1973 07-03-2005, 03:07 PM This was taken by my Dad in April of 1962, while aboard the USS Rankin (http://www.ussrankin.org/). (I wish it was more in focus.)
mtbbrian 07-03-2005, 03:31 PM You've probably seen this one before, if you have been to my website.
I did it two years ago, with my Holga.

God Bless the USA!
And don't forget the men and women who have served for and died for what "The Flag" means..
Lionheart 07-03-2005, 05:49 PM :) Just in a patriotic mood I guess.
Gerry Widen 07-03-2005, 06:20 PM I may of posted this before.
Skyman 07-03-2005, 10:19 PM Not stripes but stars at least
Mr Yuck 07-04-2005, 12:06 AM Not very unique, but I took it anyway...that's on a very tall flagpole at the Presidio in SF, supposedly the tallest in the area.
A little different, hope you like it.
Mark.
but today kind of made it appropriate. IMO.
Oldies but goodies - I've posted them before.
Liz
Not the best examples, but sadly all I have...
