Ok, so I dropped my other optio camera, nice little thing :( It done 320x240 in record mode, and with a 512MB SD card, I could get 45minutes, which was cool!

So , splashing out money like I do, I went and got myself an option s5z , it arrived yesterday, pretty much same feel to my other camera, which is cool.

BUT, it records in 620x480, and will NOT allow me to change, this means I only get 20minutes recording time out of my 512MB SD card, which I wasn't to happy about , I was hoping I could shrink the size down to 320x240, now if ANYONE knows of a way I can do this, I would like to know , I had read the manual, and I figured ok, if it doesn't say, i can't do it, but it's still worth a try asking.

hi,
I haven’t got this came myself but really want to get it.
I have read it can record in MPEG 4 which means the size of the file will be about half of AVI this should help you??

If you don’t mind, could you tell me what is great about the camera and what isn’t, I’m in 2 minds about getting it, i have heard that the small size of the Optio S5z is made possible through the innovative PENTAX Sliding Lens system that moves the powerful lens up and away as it retracts into the camera. I’m a bit scared about this, to many working parts to go wrong.
Please give me you feedback.
