Thanks in advance, Tim Old Timer 06-11-2005, 06:39 AM Is this too much sports/landscape compromise? Thanks in advance, Tim Very nice Tim. I dont think there is too much compromise here. Don't know what was to the left but I think the comp would have been a bit stronger with the sail a little more to the right of the frame. Very pleasing overall image. Great view of the mountians. OldSchool 06-11-2005, 07:58 AM Thanks OT. I don't think there is much to the left on the initial imag... Hey while I got you on the line, I want to get a longer lens for the D70 (I only have the 18-70 kit). I've been waiting for Nikon's new DX lenses to come out. I've also read good things about the 18-200G, but I am wondering if it will be "heavy" compared the DX lenses. What do you have, and how do you like it? (I know you have quite a "family" there). Thanks in advance, Tim PhotoGimp 06-11-2005, 10:34 AM At least to me, I think that this image is more of a landscape, and I love the formation on the right side, coupled with the depth of the horizon on the left. But I feel it leaves me wanting more. I think that since there is so much "landcape" in this, that it drowns out whats in the water, no pun intended! mjs1973 06-11-2005, 10:56 AM I would def. call this a landscape shot and I think the kiteborder adds a lot of interest to the pic. OldSchool 06-12-2005, 06:06 PM Thanks everybody for the comments. I think I'm stuck shooting these water sports landscape scenes until I get a longer lens (currently looking). Best regards, Tim jar_e 06-12-2005, 06:38 PM I would've liked to seen the sail more on the left, to balance out the busy, rock landscape. The colors are great, and they make everything pop.
