View Full Version : Street scene no.3 Seb 06-08-2005, 05:53 PM Comments are welcome Seb Nina 06-08-2005, 07:44 PM Seb, this particular shot is not working for me. I find that there are too many distractions here & on top of that I can't get past the graffitti. Just me. :( chuckmoser 06-08-2005, 09:10 PM You know, I can see what you were after here, but I think it's missing something. (Actually, as bad as it sounds, a homeless guy would really make this scene.) Maybe there's just too many little things dancing around in there that are as bright as the door, thus taking my eye off of it. As a side note, I couldn't help but wonder why someone would take the time to set up a little garden-wire fence next to that door. Is there something planted in there? Everything else is so neglected, yet someone took the time to set that little thing up. I dunno, just simple observations. I think there is something here, but it's not grabbing me right away. -Chuck erich_vasconcelos 06-08-2005, 11:48 PM Seb, I like the shot. The only problem I see is that the photo can't pick up the essence of what you want to capture. My suggestion is to get a closer shot of the door, or even better, the grafitti on the wall. If you could get the shot at down, to get those rich, warm colors, it would be even better. Keep up the good work. Erich gahspidy 06-09-2005, 01:25 AM I think that this goes well with your other shots of this type. i like it. your framing is good, as usual, and your strokes of the dodge brush are keeping it in the Seb style. i like it. The graffiti, the new bricks put in around the door, the green ground cover and vines, and the little fenced in area that was mentioned already further entertain me. Good work, for me Seb 06-12-2005, 04:17 PM Comments are welcome Seb Hi all, thanks for commenting. You are all making valid points. I'll pass over that picture for now but I am thinking about things to try arround the concept in the future. regards Seb jar_e 06-12-2005, 04:54 PM Seb, I like it. The contrasting colors really work well here, and the subject matter appears very interesting to me. Nice shooting, Jared |
