Very good compositions. i like them both alot. But if I had to choose one, I feel I would pick the second shot with the purpleish sky as it is a bit more striking for me. Great point of view. Good work

I prefer the original much better composition but like both.

In the original I like the way that everything centers ont he top part of the picture and allows the eye to roam capturing all the textures and colours.

On the cropped version I feel that everything is a little too unbalanced and would like to see a little more space to the left of the picture to componsate.

Looking at the two images together I agree with you completely, the second shot felt a bit too busy for me from the offset but I am swaying towards it again.

I think Dali might have preferred the second with the exaggerated perspective added by the additional elements adding to the surrealism.Ithink it's more in keeping with the daliesque theme.

I preffer the original because of the perspective and composition. But the second version's simplicity attracts me as well. But I would go for the original, Herriot. I has caught my eyes! Great work!
