View Full Version : Eye Dali Herriot 06-08-2005, 12:14 AM In response to Erich's ferris wheel shot, any critique would be welcomed! Many thanks Herriot Herriot 06-08-2005, 12:19 AM The original image gahspidy 06-08-2005, 12:28 AM Very good compositions. i like them both alot. But if I had to choose one, I feel I would pick the second shot with the purpleish sky as it is a bit more striking for me. Great point of view. Good work readingr 06-08-2005, 01:04 AM Herriot, I prefer the original much better composition but like both. In the original I like the way that everything centers ont he top part of the picture and allows the eye to roam capturing all the textures and colours. On the cropped version I feel that everything is a little too unbalanced and would like to see a little more space to the left of the picture to componsate. Herriot 06-08-2005, 01:11 AM Thanks Gary, Roger, Looking at the two images together I agree with you completely, the second shot felt a bit too busy for me from the offset but I am swaying towards it again. Many thanks! Herriot Chunk 06-08-2005, 02:49 AM I think Dali might have preferred the second with the exaggerated perspective added by the additional elements adding to the surrealism.Ithink it's more in keeping with the daliesque theme. erich_vasconcelos 06-08-2005, 12:05 PM Where did you take this picture? Amazing place, and an terrific wheel! I preffer the original because of the perspective and composition. But the second version's simplicity attracts me as well. But I would go for the original, Herriot. I has caught my eyes! Great work! Herriot 06-09-2005, 12:07 AM Hi Erich, This image was taken in London last month, the ferris wheel is the 'London Eye' which is the largest ferris wheel in the world, already attracting huge numbers of photographers, you can view some results and general information via, http://www.londoneye.com/ Have fun!
