Another scene from the marsh. happened upon this fishing boat out on the marsh after midnight. Kodak UC 400
How does this look?

It' a terriffic image Gary,
It has a nice gradual shift from light to dark in the sky, and i love the spot light effect of the moon to the water. The colors contrast and compliment each other well at the same time. The mirror image of the boat and crew is really a nice touch. The overall softness of the image again lends itself to the feel of a painting.
I was going to nit that it has a void space on the left side , but then I saw the marsh monster in the water! Be carefull!
To me it looks like a '50s crossword puzzle (meant as a compliment) type of painting.

Could I compare this with the Marshes shot especially in relation to the reflections. I honestly thought the reflections on the Marshes competed too much with the actual sky. On this one the reflections of the sky are less intrusive and have a lovely calming effect as does the entire picture. The boat is nicely placed coming into the blue parts of the reflection. Gary have you done any post processing on the reflections of the lights on either side?

Gary - Big, abstract feel to the photo, hence pretty different than the norm... The pic seems to 'open up' and want to swallow me in the middle/top area. It might be a little too much negative space (hard to say, but the pic does an incredible erie lighting to it... that top bright cloud is scary! Nice job, and the softness adds to the photo.

Thanks for the comments, all. Funny thing is, i liked all the elements in this scene but somehow feel that it does not add up to the sum of it's parts.
No post processing other than a levels adj. and some softening to smooth the grain and help the mood along. This was also a double exposure, however, with the Moon area being shot first and then the water and sky under the moon second. . .both on the same frame ( double exposure) Thanks guys for looking and letting me know your take on this

Just wondering what it would look like after being through a few of the things in PS Tiling etc.Will have a go and if any look could will post them.
