Buggered up my knee pretty gosh darn good recently so my hiking has been limited. On the flip side it has forced me to move slowly and focus on the details around me! :) Shot with the D70 using a custom high contrast curve with the Nikkor 28-105mm F/3.4-4.5 D .. Blow out was intentional on this shot as I wanted to white out the left area and make it into a desktop at work and creep folks out (ask if you want the desktops links). The shot has recieved an additional levels and color balance tweak ( I get crap results with the D70's auto WB :mad:, its still a tad too warm ) .. now have at er'...

Great shot as always. I'm always impressed with your shots. I like this one, and what a great subject to shoot. You can almost feel the texture and I think this would work well as a desktop. I wouldn't mind seeing your desktop work! Great shot,

The inclusion of the finger gives a scale for the animal's size. The DoF focusses at the head. The composition is simple and effective. I hope to see the frog looking up.
