Amazing. The contrast is amazing between sky/mountaintop and the trees. Perfect.

Very impressed,

Thank you, Jared! It was a magical evening with the mist rolling in and the light hitting the mountain and clouds in just the right way. I have a 36 x 36 inch print of this shot hanging on my wall...the detail is amazing! :)

Thank you, Leon! Fortunately the sales from my prints have helped defray the cost of my equipment significantly. :)

That's the Mahesh I know and love -- thank you yet again for joining PR and sharing your awesome talent here. :D

My Very Best to You,
Penny

P.S. Another of my favorite landscape photogs is Buck Forester aka Brian Ernst. I'm sure you know him Mahesh. He's got a crazy wonderful personality to go along with his photog talent. Some of his shots can be viewed here (http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=309451). You shoot digital and Buck/Brian shoots Velvia -- but both of you shoot awesome.

Thanks, Penny! Glad to be here. Yes, I'm familiar with Buck's stuff...a very talented and gifted photographer. :)

has to be one of your virtues. It seems to me your images are always shot at the "perfect time" and moment. It takes a lot of patience and talent and vision to capture images like you've managed to do.

This is another striking image - it's almost breathtaking even on the computer! ;)

I'll never see it in person. This is very close. Thanks for posting it here.

Thank you, Liz! If I could tell you some of my stories about photography, you'd amazed. Let me share one, at least. Yellowstone NP is about a 13 hr drive from Seattle. During a 3 day weekend I drove to Yellowstone, saw that the weather was cr@ppy and drove right back. I did 26 hrs worth of driving in about 28 hrs...breaks for gas and food. :)

Anywho...I'm happy you liked the picture...Rainier really is beautiful no matter when you look at her, but under the flattering early/late light, she is, as you mentioned, breathtaking! :)
