Everyone seems to like that one. I got some lectures about composition etc for the other three. in retrospect I shouldn't have posted them. They don't show much depth and quite frankly, no thought went into them. Point and shooter here.

Yes. I find it hard to review multiple images. But, I didn't want your submission to go un answered. Also, I do find that 2nd image very pleasing.

Not bad, a little rough time of the day with the bright sunshine, but very good photo-essay material. I've never been to Barbados and I think you could use shots like this to educate someone on a place, etc. The horse shot is esp nice.

I thought bright sunshine gave light... and that light was best for bringing out colors and basically letting objects be seen better...? Hmmm, maybe I should start reading some books.

perfect9point9, I first viewed this at home on another monitor and the images looked too bright, but on another computer it looks OK (not sure which is right). Normally though, you have to be careful of bright sunny days when the light is very intense, it can cause extreme contrast in a photo and destroy the mid-range tonals. This is esp true on days where there is no cloud cover, and esp in the desert (like I shot at a lot of the time!). Mid-day sun also produces no shadows, which could make some photos flatter and less interesting. Anyways, these suggestions are more applicable to certain geographical areas that have intense sunshine - I dont know how Barbados is in that regard.

Regarding sunshine in Barbados, heh heh...

We're tropical, located in the Caribbean - nothing but sun, usually from January to June but our rainy season seems to have started a bit early. I'm surprised you don't know much of Barbados, we're supposedly this fab turistic destination with just the right mix of natural beauty and civilization.
