read you can use a dollar store nokia cellphone headset for a remote switch, so i bought the headset... it opens the shutter but when you press the button again it doesnt close the shutter. the shutter only closes once you unplug the headset from the camera. anyone else ever use this method, maybe someone knows what im doing wrong.

From what I've read, the headset's mute switch connections need to be modified. See <a href="http://www.pbase.com/image/23045681">http://www.pbase.com/image/23045681</a>, and the author's explanation at <a href="http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1031&message=6588593">dpreview</a>:
"The modification takes only 5 minutes. Just open the plastic cover and disconnect all wires. Remove the speaker - you don't need it. Use multimeter to check what wire matches correct point in the 2.5mm plug. You need tie together the first two (sleeve and first ring) and the last two wires (tip & second ring) See the picture upperleft. The trigger goes between these two sets of two wires. Very simple. "
