"It's a Canon AE-1 w/52mm lens and detachable flash. I also have a 200mm lens, but it needs to be repaired. The camera needs adjusting as well."

More then likely, yes. An AE-1 is a timeless classic camera that gets great results for the shooter. (I have one too!) It is truly a workhorse in todays world.

I have an AE1 and I love it. You may want to repair it yourself since ebay has some for pretty cheap that are in working order nowadays.

Let me know if you have any luck. If not, I happen to have 2 - 50mm lenses for my Canon gear. I can get rid of one if you'd like.

For my Canon side of the house (Film) I have:

Canon AE-1 and Canon T90 with the following lenses
28 mm
50 mm (2)
35-105
75-200
90-230 Macro

Let me know.....

I would be interested..but...I prefer to only buy stuff from people with ebay ratings or resellerratings if I order online (I'ma wimp)...plus i've only been a member for a couple hours ;)

Thanks for the offer though.

whoops, I'm not selling it! I'm thinking of buying it from a friend. It was one of the only things left over from her garage sale.

I'm just a bit scared of the "needs adjustment" part. I know nothing about adjusting cameras.

But I've decided I am going to buy it from her.

Kelly, you wont be dissapointed with this camera, assuming it is in working order. I bought one off of ebay a couple years ago, and I love it. I have even been considering picking up a Canon A-1 to go with it. I very solid, reliable piece of equipment that will last for many more years. Take a look on ebay, there are a ton of them for sale, and a ton of people bidding on them. There are still lots of people buying these cameras, and I think that says alot about gear that hasn't been made in 20+ years. Good luck with it!
