Susaan, I think what helped was the graduation in the shot, first a piece of the floor I was standing on in the very foreground boarder, then the light shade and then the people. I also had some help with the light, there was an enormous mirror in front of those people on the wall reflecting some dim light across the bar. The rest was just luck. Here is the entire shot to give you an idea which in itself unedited isn't that bad either. S

I would have enjoyed this image if that blur from the green shirted gentlemen wasn't present.
I tend to agree, I don't mind the hand but the head (nose) is a bit anoying and I have no idea how I may fix that with post processing of whether it's even possible.
A telling story though, the guy drinking wine and the 2 girls coffee...
